Weigh In, New Recipe & Birchbox Goodies

Happy Monday everyone! Since I don't blog over the weekend, we are just going to backtrack by day for this entry.

__________________________________________________________
Friday:
I received my December Birchbox and I was so excited! It really is so fun opening them up to see what goodies they send.

Top Left: Number 4 Non Aerosol Hairspray
Top Right: Chuao Chocopod in Honeycomb flavor
Bottom Left: Color Club Nail Polish in Dark 'N Stormy
Botton Right: 29 Cosmetics Skincare Sampler

Top: Salt of the Earth Whipped Body Crème in Cabernet & Neroili
Bottom: Salt of the Earth Aroma Salt in White Ginger

I've used everything and LOVE everything. Would I purchase any of the products? Yes. The nail polish and the whipped body crème for sure. The skincare sampler is $175 for the entire collection so... no... it is nice, but just as a sampler. The chocolate was delicious too. If you buy the Assorted Chocopod 8-Piece Gift Set it is $9.95. It is expensive for chocolate but it is very delicious!

And here is what the nail polish looks like on:
I do like it a lot. I will get quite a few uses out of that tiny little sample bottle. I love nail polish.

Saturday:
We got a lot of snow/sleet on Friday night into Saturday so the morning was spent at home trying to keep warm. Andrew had 3 piano tunings he was supposed to do but 2 called off due to the amount of snow and the church wasn't until 2:00 in the afternoon so he kept that one.

Saturday Weigh In:
Weigh In: +3.9
Total Lost: 7.6
Pounds to Lose: 93.4

Remember how the week before I had that stomach bug and lost 11.1? Yeah, I'm not surprised by this gain at all and in fact I am quite happy because I really didn't do too bad at all. Only gaining about 4 of that 11 back? I think I did pretty damn good.

I tried a new recipe for lunch and I am in love with it and will probably make it again in the future. Of course it is from Gina's Site. This was the recipe.
Tuscan White Bean & Roasted Garlic Soup:
Absolutely to die for delicious. Seriously. I could eat this every day and it is super filling.

Andrew and I planned on going to Red Robin for dinner on Saturday so I was sure to save up some points for that. I did end up going in the negative (because of beer and a peppermint mocha from Starbucks) but I have already earned 5 APs for this week and just need to earn 13 more to be in the black again.

I ended up joining Andrew for his church tuning too.
It wasn't the best piano in the world but after he was done with it I got to play a couple of songs on it and then we left. Even though the quality of sound wasn't the best, he did do an excellent job tuning it!

Sunday:
Lazy day. Super lazy day minus going to the fitness center and having dinner with Andrew's parents at a local pub. I was really frustrated at the fitness center because I couldn't get my foot pod to sync up with my Garmin. I finally realized the battery must be dead and sure enough as soon as I got back to the apartment and changed the battery it found the pod just fine. *sigh* Technology is a pain sometimes. I had to go by the results of the treadmill which I know aren't always accurate but it was OK. I was on there fore 36 minutes and earned 4 APs.

We watched a lot of Christmas movies this weekend which was wonderful. Andrew's work schedule is going to start getting really crazy this week so I was glad to have the two days to spend with him. We watched The original cartoon Grinch, Christmas Vacation, The Muppets Christmas Carol and Rudolph. Some of my favorites. I really love The Muppets Christmas Carol. I used to watch that one a lot when I was younger. I'm just sad that certain versions of that movie cut out the "When Love is Gone" scene. I like that song but understand that children grew restless during it so they cut it out of some versions. The version we have doesn't have it. Sad face.

Well, that was all the excitment from my weekend. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
And so does Walter:
He's getting SO BIG

What Crummy Weather

Seriously, yuck. Let me tell you how much it sucks fun it is to train a puppy in the rain. Walter doesn't seem to mind gonig out in the rain but I mind it when those little paws get all wet and muddy and track it all in the apartment! I have a towel a wipe his and Caesar's feet off with... but really, try wiping off a 12 week old puppy's paws. Squirm central! Thank goodness I have excellent carpet cleaner.

And here is your daily dose of Walter:

He is SO PRECIOUS!

WeightWatchers & Food:
I wasn't at work yesterday. Woke up with a nassty UTI so I don't have any food pictures but I will do a quick recap.

Monday night I had the 3 Bean Turkey Chili from Gina's site. It was delicious as usual. I don't put in the full amount of chili powder because Andrew doesn't like spicy food. I tell him it is fine with me because I just add more of the powder and jalepenos to my own bowl. So good. I will probably be having that tonight for dinner after I exercise.

I'm also still working on the ziti I made last week. I love those types of recipes that I can continue to eat for awhile. I always freeze some portions so they will last longer too. I do need to go to the grocery store very soon because I know Andrew is really wanting to try the recipes he picked out. It is really hard for me to get motivated to go to the store though because I have Walter waiting for me at home and I just can't wait to see him!

I had a little peek at the scale today and I am holding steady at my 10.1 pound loss from last week. That is fine with me. If my body decides not to lose anymore I am ok with it. That was a huge loss for one week And I know it will all balance out. However, I'm still working towards something whether it happens or not! Even a 0.2 loss or something would be magical.

I will be doing Day 9 of the Shred tonight! So glad I joined this challenge with some wonderful ladies on WW. I actually look forward to doing it anymore. It is part of my day now. It is a little difficult with little Walter because he loves to chew on my hair when I'm donig the circuts on the floor... but that's OK. Whatever keeps him entertained. Haha.
__________________________________________________________________________

Nothing else to report.
Super excited for American Horror Story tonight!

Weekend Recap: Meet Walter

I would like for everyone to meet Walter!

"He's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"

Seriously. He makes my head almost explode. Andrew and I went to a lady's house in Virden who was selling these balls of fluff and cuteness. The mom, Tilley, and dad, Junior, had a batch of 6 puppies! That is crazy considering the mom couldn't have been more than 10 pounds herself. Mom was a much lighter color but dad was all black with a little white on his chest. All of the puppies were mostly black with patches of white. Little Walter here has some light fur around his ears, white spots on his back paws and a little white patch on his chest. He currently weighs in at 5 pounds and he is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.
I also said these same things about Caesar when he was a puppy. Hehe.

Caesar is still unsure about the little tyke. He lets Walter chew on his tail a bit but when he tries to cuddle Caesar usually moves away. Brat. Haha. They'll get used to each other. I also keep reassuring Caesar that I still love him and he's still my favorite baby.

Coming to work this morning was difficult. I wanted to stay home and snuggle him all day long.

Weekend Things:
Saturday morning Andrew and I were pretty lazy until about 9:30. We went and ran some errands and since I got my 10 pounds lost goal I got to go spend $15 at Ulta! I needed new foundation and got some Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Kiss. Love that stuff. Then we got home, I did laundry and then had the hardest time figuring out what the heck to have for lunch. I finally decided that I wanted Thai food. This was around 2:00 in the afternoon. Haha. I placed the order and then thought to myself, "You know, if I don't work out now, I'm not going to today." So, I popped in my Shred DVD and did Day 6 of Level 1 and then ate a late lunch with Andrew. We lounged around for awhile before going out with some friends because it is the weekend before they get married! We had dinner at Cheddar's (Andrew and I split an appetizer) and then went for some drinks and played Cards Against Humanity. Fun night!

Sunday was another lazy morning, with the clocks being set back it was weird. I actually ended up taking a nap from like 11:00 - 1:00. Didn't even realize I was tired. Then I somehow convinced Andrew to go with me to see those puppies and that's how we ended up with Walter. We got him, ran to Petsmart to get him a collar, puppy food, rawhides for him and Caesar, a doggie tag, and a new toy. We got home, got to play with him for maybe 15 minutes and then had to meet Andrew's parents for dinner. Luckily the restaurant was right up the street from where we live (not even 5 minutes away). We had a nice dinner, they came over and met the puppy, and then after they left Walter got his first bath (which he hated) and we all snuggled the rest of the night.

I am always worried about noise when it comes to crate training a puppy. Walter didn't make a sound. I was shocked. Caesar used to cry and howl when he was crate trained. Not Walter. He curled right up and went to sleep. Andrew and I were very happy about that!

WeightWatchers & Stuff:
Food choices weren't horrible for me this weekend but I did end up -8 as of yesterday night. If I wouldn't have drank Gin & Tonics on Saturday I might have been a little better off. Oh well. They were delicious! I wish more bars had Diet Tonic Water. Momma loves her some Gin. Hahah. I'm not too upset about anything I ate this weekend. Everything was in moderation, I tracked it and I never felt gross or hungover.

Tonight I am making another recipe from Gina's site. It is Crock Pot 3 Bean Turkey Chili. I am obsessed with Chili right now. We only have 1 serving of the Chicken Taco Chili left. We devoured that. This one probably won't last long either. When I mixed it all together this morning it smelled fantastic.

I do have to make a run to the store to get ingredients for recipes this week. Andrew got to pick out the menu this time around and he picked a lot of different chicken recipes. I will post them and how they turn out as well. I'm excited to try them.

That is all I have for today folks.

Kind of Blah...

Usually I am a very upbeat, optimistic person. With the past days events though I haven't been my happy-go-lucky self. It is understandable that I feel the way I do and I know as time goes on I will feel less of the heartache for Hyatt. Part of me wants to run out and get another dog to heal the hurt but that is like having a rebound relationship and hoping it'll work out. Caesar is SO confused without Hyatt. Last night we were outside on the patio and our neighbor walked by with his black lab mix and Caesar shot off my lap and went running because he thought it was his brother. He was soon disappointed though when he realized it wasn't Hyatt. His little tail fell down and he sauntered back to Andrew and I. Sometimes Caesar will just start to cry for no reason at all and I know it is because he is confused. He'll get over it faster than Andrew and I will but I know he is used to being around other dogs and I think he's sad being the only one.

He is such a sweet boy. We walked around on Saturday morning for a little bit... just wasn't the same.
_____________________________________________________________________________

WeightWatchers & Food:
Well, I had my awesome 2 pound loss yesterday and my 4 mile run so I was feeling pretty good about myself for that. I had some wine in the evening and then made a huge dinner of spaghetti and meat sauce with garlic bread. It needed to be a comfort food night. I used all of my daily points and 14 of my weeklies. That isn't too bad though.
Also, on Saturday I made this fun little recipe and forgot to post about it:

It was really good! I love fried rice so this was a nice bargain. I added chicken to it to plump it up a bit and it makes a TON. I will make this again.

I was also impressed with my ActiveLink activity from yesterday. When I plugged it in this morning I was shocked and VERY happy!
Go me! 10APs to start the week with. Can't do much better than that. (Except maybe the day I do my 10K) haha.

I don't have much else to update. Again, I am just really frumpy and want to go home and mope. On my training schedule for today I have "stretch & strengthen". I've been doing my wall pushups and well... resting my muscles.

Random Pet Picture of the Day:

AHHH! It is a HOBBZILLA COME TO ATTACK ME.

With hugs, kisses and snuggles.

Bad Week

As you know, I weigh in on Wednesday's so today essentially wraps up my week. Tomorrow starts a new day, refreshed tracker and an all new set of 49 Weekly Points.
As of today I am -79. HOWEVER, I did not track my dinner/snacks from last night so I do not believe that is accurate.
Bad.Bad.Week.
Blah.

I went to the grocery store last night and that was much needed. Especially since I ended up spending about $170 WITH coupons. I was out of so much stuff including oils and spices and when I have to get that kind of stuff it makes my grocery bill sky rocket. Oh well, we needed everything I purchased.
After I got home from the store I was exhausted. I plopped myself down on the couch and caught up on one of my TV shows. I had 4 episodes recorded. I watched those and by the time I was done Andrew was home from work so we sat on the couch talking while he caught glimpses of the football game. (He's a Fantasy Football kind of guy) We were in bed by 10:15 and luckily I had NO trouble passing out. My alarm went off at 6:00 this morning and someone was NOT happy about getting up:
No one truly understands how hard his life actually is. It isn't easy being a Caesar Monkey Face. Especially when you are required to wake up when your owner wakes up. Rude.

Today's menu:
B: Wheat Toast(3), 1 T Almond Butter(3), 1 c. FF milk(2), Banana(0), Black Coffee(0)
S: 2 WW Cheese Sticks(3), Pop Chips(3)
L: Smart Ones Meal(7), 1/2 c. 1% Cottage Cheese(2), Tomatoes(0), WW Triple Brownie Bliss Bar(2)
S: Chobani Flip(6), Apple(0)
D: TBD

After all of that food I will have 8P+ left. I bought lettuce and I would love to have a big salad with chicken sausage and almonds. Yum!

Then tomorrow is the moment of truth.... when I meet the scale at 12:00pm.....

Manic Monday

Good morning, bloggers! Another weekend gone and another work week started. This will be my first full week back to work since before I started having gallbladder problems. I say full week even though I do have a doctor's appointment with my general practitioner on Friday at 3:00. I plan on making up the time throughout the rest of the week though so I'm not going to miss out on any time. This coming weekend is going to be busy since we are going to Iowa. We are going to go see Grandma and I get to go to Valerie's final dress fitting to learn how to bustle her dress! Hopefully it will be somewhat of an easy weekend without too much excitement because taking a weekend trip makes it seem like you get no time to relax.

So, next topic.... how much did I suck this weekend? I will show you:
NEGATIVE 80! WOO! *sigh* I didn't track as I was eating nor did I track on the day I ate it. I went through and tracked everything this morning and wanted to throw up. Now, I didn't eat large amounts of food, I just ate very HIGH point value food. I have had three losses in a row at my meetings and I think this week the gain will finally catch up with me. We all have our bad weeks! I could blame my time of the month, but I am not going to do that. It was my fault that I ate the things that I did and it is also my fault for failing to plan my weekend to be successful.

It really doesn't help that we have no food in the house either. Our selections for lunches and dinners are lacking big time. If any of you follow me on instagram my Friday night dinner should have shown you how bad the grocery situation is in our apartment. I am going to the store tonight though with a handful of coupons to get us stocked up for awhile.

I realized the other day that I hadn't given an update on Hyatt! Turns out he just had a really bad bacterial infection that turned into a staph infection. He has been on Cipro for a couple of weeks now and we are finally seeing improvement. He was fine when I took him on a run last week and we took him to the dog park on Saturday and he seemed like his normal self!

I don't really have much else to say. I am just trying to get back on track with my eating and I'm starting to plan for my weekend out of town so I WILL be successful!

Surgery and Other Stuff

I have my surgery scheduled for Wednesday, August 21 at 1:30pm. It was the first opening they had. Therefore, I will suffer, poop and have attacks until then. Ha! They tell you to eat a "low fat" diet and no fried foods. HOWEVER, anyone who has ever had gallbladder problems will tell you that even if you eat PERFECTLY.... you can still have an attack. That's just the way it goes. I have found that plain noodles do not bother me. Neither do crackers. Unfortunately all I am doing is getting a lot of carbs.... but until the 21st (and even after) it is what I have to do to hopefully avoid severe pain in my abdomen and back.

Friday Weigh In:
WI: +1.4
Total Pounds Lost: 3.0
Pounds to Lose: 100.2

That really wasn't an expected gain, but it happened. Not being able to go to the bathroom and eat properly has thrown my body out of whack. I'm not really concerned about it.

This whole gallbladder things sucks, but one good thing will come of it! Tonight we are going to the State Fair because we have tickets to see Head East, Styx and REO Speedwagon. While at the fair, I cannot eat ANY fair food. It is all fried and icky. Now, I will be tempted and feel like I'm being cheated, but I don't need any of that crap. So, I am going to save a few points for a couple of beers (because alcohol doesn't seem to bother me at all) and that's it! I will probably pack a couple of snacks (crackers) in my purse.

This morning I had to follow my husband to Sundown so they could troubleshoot his car stereo (he has all that fancy stuff with the big subs in the trunk and it wasn't working) and I decided that the dogs needed to go with. Well, on the way home both dogs decided that Andrew was the perfect seat companion and it was hilarious because Hyatt is not a lap dog!
Before daddy got in the car

In the parking lot at Sundown

At a stoplight near home.

Hyatt wants to be like Caesar. He wants to be able to snuggle up in your lap. It's so cute.

Last night Andrew and I played LIFE and apparently Hobbs wanted to play too. It wasn't long after that when Rhea decided she needed to be a part of the family fun too and she laid right on top of the board and starting smacking Andrew's car with his family all over the board. It was hilarious.

Breakfast this morning: 2 HB eggs, 2 lean turkey sausages, Skinny Latte. Thankfully none of that bothered my gallbladder!

Well, those are my only updates for the day. I will probably take some pictures tonight at the fair and do an update tomorrow on how I did and how the concert was! I have already seen REO Speedwagon in concert so I know they do a great job. I'm excited to see them again! Plus, my mom won backstage passes off a radio station so hopefully we get to meet them!!!

Make it a good day friends!!

I WON!

Have you ever won anything off the radio? I haven't but did today and I am super happy about it. They called me to let me know that Malcom's picture won Cool Pet of the Day and I got tickets to the Corn Dog Kick Off at the State Fair Grounds for Saturday night. Tickets for this event are $50 a piece so I am kind of excited! The only problem is that it is all the fair food, wine and beer you want. BOO! Saturday is my weigh in day and I will have Weekly Points+ to use, but fair food is outrageous and to me, not always worth the points. So, maybe I can talk Andrew into going to dinner somewhere before hand and then I can pick one thing I want more than anything else and have it.

Here is the picture that I submitted:
Isn't that funny? I love that dog. He is so incredibly lazy it is ridiculous.

WeightWatchers & Food:
Yesterday went well. I had 20 P+ at the end of the day when I got home. How that happened I had NO idea. So, I had my dinner and then a snack later on of popcorn and a few WW candies. I did not exercise because I exercised Monday and TWICE on Tuesday so my body was pretty sore. Today I feel good though so I plan on doing something tonight.
My food for today:

B: Smoothie with WW Chocolate mix, 1 c. FF milk, PB2 and wheat toast
S: WW Cheese Sticks and fruit
L: Sandwich with wheat bread, lunch meat, cheese and 1 T lite mayo, 1 oz lite chips, pickles and WW candies
S: Fit&Active cookies
D: Chicken Breast, brown rice and green beans
Activity: One of my TurboJam workouts

On Becoming Debt Free:
BABY STEP ONE IS DONE! We have our first emergency fund 100% funded! Very excited. So, starting August 1 we move on to Baby Step #2. Get rid of all debt (but the house) that we don't even have. Baby Step #2 is going to take the longest, but I am ready. Having a plan, a budget and working together with Andrew on this plan is really improving everything in our lives. I have never felt so good about finances. Even being on this budget for a month and a half I already feel like we have way more money that we used to. Exciting stuff!

Doing Better

Good morning, all. I slept terribly last night so today I am dragging a little bit. I couldn't get comfortable and I couldn't relax. It was after midnight when I finally dozed off. The last time I looked at the clock it was 12:18am. Goo.

Current Obsession:
I got this 4 pack off of Amazon and I LOVE IT. EOS has to be bar far the BEST lip balm I have ever gotten and put on my lips. I love the smell, the texture, the feel on my lips.... everything. The sweet mint is my absolute favorite. If you are a chapstick junkie like me.... you MUST try these. MUST MUST MUST.

WeightWatchers & Food:

Yesterday's Menu:
B: 2/3 c. Granola Cereal, 1/2 c. FF milk, black coffee
S: String Cheese, Banana
L: Leftover brown rice and broccoli, WW Mini Fudge Bar  Jimmy John's #6 Veggie Unwich with no Mayo, pickle, thinny chips & a cookie
S: Rice Cakes and an apple if I'm still hungry    No snack. Stuffed from lunch!
D: Boneless pork loin chop, trimmed & grilled, potatoes brown rice, broccoli
Om nom nom

Activity: Week 1 Day 1 of C25K  I cleaned like a mad woman last night. My Active Link says I got 108%. No APs... but I got over 100%!

Today's Menu:
B: 2/3 c. Granola, 1/2 c. FF milk, coffee
S: String Cheese, Strawberries
L: Grilled Pork Chop Sandwich with 1 T. Lite Mayo, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes and hummus, WW Mini Fudge Bar
S: Cheddar Rice Cakes, Apple
D: Grilled Teryiaki Chicken, potatoes and broccoli
Activity: Week 1 Day 1 C25K at gym

I've decided that I need to peek at the scale during the week. People worry that a person will become scale obsessed if they do this, but I remember being most successful when I did look at it a few times a week to see how I was doing. So, I am going to start peeking at least once a week to see where I stand. It is helpful to me and not harmful.

On Becoming Debt Free:
Not too much progress considering it is only two days into the month. Ha! I went to Ace Hardware last night and picked up some spray bottles for the new cleaners I have (organic from ProTek) I have the green cleaner and the enzyme cleaner for urine, feces, vomit, wine, grass stains, etc. Totally worth the investment. I have never been happier with a cleaner and the fact that they are organic makes me REALLY happy.

I also stopped by CVS because Andrew needed razor refills and I needed foundation and concealer. I have $12.50 worth of coupons so my damage there wasn't that bad.

Best part about these purchases? THEY WERE PLANNED. I do not feel guilty about spending the money and I am also not going "I shouldn't have gotten that stuff." You know how big of a deal that is? To go to the store, spend the money and go "This is OK. I told this money where it was going and now that it is used up, I'm good." It is liberating. No joke.

I am just very excited to get started on Baby Step Two. Soon!

My random crisis of the day?
My dog eats cat poop out of the litter box. If the litter box is in a closet, my cat pees on the floor. So, I am now facing the dilemma of "Do I put up with Caesar eating poop? Or do I put up with cat pee on the floor?" And no, I cannot use a covered litter box. Hobbs is HUGE and him not fitting in there is another reason he peed on the floor so much. Also, Caesar is on a very good food that provides him with all of the nutrients he needs and meat is the first ingredient in the food. Hobbs hasn't peed on the floor since we moved his box and uncovered it.

Animals.....

I just don't know what to do....

Sleep?

I.Am.So.Tired.Today.

Andrew and I really do try to get to bed at a decent hour at night. Last night, both of us were in bed by 10:30. What time did we fall asleep? Probably after 11:00. We need to start winding down earlier but it is hard sometimes because he doesn't get home from work until 8:30 and it really is our only time together during the week. Last night he went for a run when he got home so I didn't really get to talk to him or ask him about his day until almost 10:00. I love the money this night job brings in for us... but it is starting to get really irritating.

Remember how Popeye's chicken had happened? Well, there were leftovers and Andrew had eaten some for lunch. Well, in the middle of the night the cats and dogs teamed up to knock over the trash can (which is tall AND has a lid) and this morning there was garbage all over the floor and not a chicken bone in sight. Needless to say I think Hyatt ate them. Another clue to that was the fact that Hyatt had HORRENDOUS gas all morning and it almost killed Andrew and I. Yuck!

Oh and another random note about yesterday? A BIRD POOPED ON ME! First time in my life that has ever happened to me and I was NOT happy.

Anywhoo...

Weight Watchers & Food:
I woke up with Heartburn this morning. Probably because of the garbage I have been throwing into it. *sigh* I saw something really awesome on Twitter today. It say "Eat for the body you want, not for the body you have." Touché.
*grumble*

Here is my menu for today:
B: Shredded Wheat Cereal, 1 c FF milk, Coke Zero (must.have.caffeine.)
S: String Cheese
L: Subway 6-inch turkey flat bread, carrots, cherry tomatoes and 2 T garlic hummus
S: Cheddar Rice Cake Snacks, Apple
D: Chicken, brown rice, broccoli

Activity: Nap. Wait... that's not an activity. The gym maybe? I just have no motivation right now and I cannot even describe how unbelievably tired I am. Did I mention I was tired? I haven't even gotten 100% on my Active Link the past two days.... you'd think I wouldn't be tired. Guh.

On Becoming Debt Free:
We are up to 50% in our emergency fund!!! Plus, we are starting off the month of July with more money in the bank that we usually do so I am VERY proud of us. I spent $79 at the salon last night for a Shellac Manicure and a Hair Cut but let me tell you.... I don't do that often (probably every 7 or 8 months) and it was magical to be pampered. Plus, I made sure to put a hair cut in the budget. My hair is usually around $111.00 for highlights, wash, cut and style... but I didn't get the highlights and got the manicure instead and saved myself a little money. Go me!

Andrew and I are doing FPU week 3 on Saturday, going the bank, taking out some cash and then going grocery shopping. Then my ONLY other plans for the weekend are laundry and church. Nothing else. I want a completely awesome "I'm a waste of space" kind of weekend. If I get invited to do anything, I'll say no. Darn it.

Now.... sleep???

Zzzzzzzz..................

Monday Weigh In

When we go to Taylorville to my parent's house to swim... this is how excited Hyatt gets when we are pulling onto their street and up into the driveway:

Weight Watchers & Weigh In Results:

WI: -2.8
Total Lost: 2
Pounds to Lose: 101.2

I lost! I wasn't expecting that at all. Considering I decided that I didn't need to track Friday, Saturday or Sunday. *shame* However, I was very busy this weekend and only ate at meal time. There were no snacks, no dessert and TONS of walking and swimming!

My food choices weren't the best, but they weren't horrible either. Like, we went to Quaker Steak'n'Lube on Saturday for lunch and I had a veggie flatbread and at that restaurant their flatbreads are small but filling! So, I made better choices that usual and obviously I did OK since I lost 2.8. Yay! Today's menu is:

B: 2 Whole Wheat Waffles, 1 c. FF milk, coffee
S: String Cheese, Banana
L: Brown rice and great northern beans, strawberries, cookies
S: Apple, rice cake snacks
D: Bacon wrapped filet, broccoli... maybe a salad...
Activity: Week 1 Day 2 of C25K

Andrew works until 11:00pm tonight so I can exercise right after work before dinner. Then, I plan on plopping my ass down and playing the Sims 3. I seriously go through these spurts with that game. I'm obsessed with it for weeks and then I don't play it again for like 2 or 3 months. Right now, I'm at an obsessed stage.  I play these games with myself that I can only play Sims or do something "non-productive" if I work out first. If I don't work out, then I can't play games.

On Becoming Debt Free:
We watched Week 2 of Financial Peace University and I really enjoyed this lesson. Andrew and I are going to learn even more about each other as we go through this program. I now understand him better and he understands me better. Dave says that one person in the relationship is usually the nerd, that's me, and the other is the free spirit, that's Andrew. The Nerd isn't always the saver though.... I'm the nerd and the spender. Andrew is the free spirit and the saver. So, knowing that about each other has really opened our eyes to how the other person sees money, saving and spending.

I feel that going through FPU is going to bring Andrew and I even closer together and strengthen our relationship. I love that we are doing this so early in our marriage too. You hear on Dave's show that some people don't even start this journey until they are in their 40's. Not us! We are starting NOW and that way when we're 40 we will be in an even BETTER situation!

We are getting closer to finishing Baby Step 1. It will probably take us into July before that is finished... but then we can get going on Baby Step 2!

Ahhhhh.... FRIDAY!

Today is a really special Friday. Why? Well, it is the first day of summer...... however, I am more excited about the fact that my husband has the night off. He is tuning two pianos at a church today and then will be home. I am SO excited about that. For those of you that don't know, my husband works evenings as his second job. He works 3:00pm - 8:00pm Mon-Fri. So, during the week we barely see each other. Tonight, he doesn't have to work and I am thrilled about being able to have dinner with him and spend the evening with him! Yay!!

WeightWatchers & Food:
Yesterday my TBD dinner ended up being a dinner with my family at my apartment. Mom, dad, Seth and little Mia Pia Puddin Pie (love dog nicknames) came over and they brought steak, corn, rice and pineapple. We grilled out and had a nice lovely dinner in my tiny apartment.

Today's food is as follows:
B: 2 Whole Wheat Waffles, Coffee
S: String Cheese, apple
L: Subway w/the hubby. I'm going to get a 6" Flatbread with turkey and lots of veggies, baked chips and split a big diet soda with Andrew
S: Rice Cake Snacks, banana
D: Andrew and I are going to find something quick and cheap since we have lots of errands to run tonight!

Activity: Running errands! HA! We might go to the gym though. I didn't get to go last night as planned because my family came over.

On Becoming Debt Free:
I am not the type of person that handles being paid weekly very well. I've been conditioned to be a bi-weekly pay period type girl and being paid every week is really throwing me off. I cannot wait to be on the payroll here full time instead of the temp agency because it is just strange... Me no likey. I feel that I plan better and feel that I have more money when it comes in a big lump sum every two weeks.

We are up to 40% in our emergency fund now! WOOHOO. We are going to have to stop there for the month of June though because we are coming up to the beginning of July and we all know what that means. Between the first and the eighth of the month we have quite a bit of stuff coming out and the rent is what hurts the most. To most people, our rent is pretty cheap though. We pay $675 for our apartment and it includes the fitness center, pool, pet rent, water and trash. So, I really can't complain about what we pay per month for our living arrangement.

Well, not much else to say on the debt free front besides tomorrow we will be doing FPU week 2 class and I am very excited about it!

I leave you with a tired Monkey Face:
Poor Caesar. His life is hard.

OH! And for those of you wondering, Hyatt is MUCH better. The meds have made a tremendous difference and he is back to normal. :)

The Scale Doesn't Lie

"I do not like the cone of shame"

We were in Taylorville this weekend because we had to rush Hyatt to the vet. He has got a really bad skin infection/skin irritation and he will NOT leave it alone. He licks it so much that the hair he is ingesting is upsetting his stomach and he is puking everywhere. The doctor took some hair samples from around the sores and will have those tested and we won't know what is wrong until Saturday. He is on a buttload of medication and the poor thing is miserable. Especially with the added cone. He does nothing but sleep and drink water.... we can barely get him to take his medicine in treats... I am thankful that he will eat soft food though. At least he gets something down!

Weight Watchers & Weigh In
The only way to keep me from being a complete idiot over the weekend is to have my weigh-in day be Monday.

WI: +3.9
Total Lost: +0.8
Pounds to Lose: 104

*grumblegrumblepoutgrumble*

All my fault. I know. The scale once again proves I cannot do whatever the hell I want to when it comes to food. I was in Taylorville this weekend and there was alcohol, noodles with butter and garlic, big breakfasts and candy. I need to have a better game plan when it comes to going to my parents house.

Here is today's menu:
B: Old Fashioned Oats with 1 T PB2 & 1/2 T Chocolate Chips, 1 c. FF milk, black coffee (8P+)
S: String Cheese, strawberries (3P+)
L: Sandwich with lunch meat, american cheese and lite mayo, salad with tangy bacon catalina dressing, 100 calorie pack of cookies (14P+)
S: Cheddar Rice Cake Snacks (2P+)
D: TBD, I will have 5 P+ for dinner... I have a TON of lettuce I need to eat... so I am thinking a big grilled chicken salad with 0P+ Walden Farms Italian
Activity: I would like to go to the gym and either do the bike or treadmill

I am a HUGE dummy and took off my ActiveLink yesterday and didn't put it back on. Therefore it says I only got 50% of my activity completed when I probably got WAY more than that because I grocery shopped, cleaned, did laundry and was on my feet most of the day. Oh well....

On Becoming Debt Free:
We "attended" Lesson 1 of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. I think I am going to really like this at home class with the DVDs. Andrew and I are able to watch it and do it together and then we share the book for our reading assignments. Mom and dad even sat in on the DVD... which was nice. I didn't ask them to, they just sat down with us. I hope they like it and get something out of it!

The entire picture of becoming debt free is overwhelming... but the baby steps seem obtainable and I love that he did the program this way. Right now we are completely focused on Baby Step 1. That is all that matters. I am so excited to start this journey with Andrew!
