Weekend Recap: Meet Walter

I would like for everyone to meet Walter!

"He's so fluffy I'm gonna die!"

Seriously. He makes my head almost explode. Andrew and I went to a lady's house in Virden who was selling these balls of fluff and cuteness. The mom, Tilley, and dad, Junior, had a batch of 6 puppies! That is crazy considering the mom couldn't have been more than 10 pounds herself. Mom was a much lighter color but dad was all black with a little white on his chest. All of the puppies were mostly black with patches of white. Little Walter here has some light fur around his ears, white spots on his back paws and a little white patch on his chest. He currently weighs in at 5 pounds and he is just about the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.
I also said these same things about Caesar when he was a puppy. Hehe.

Caesar is still unsure about the little tyke. He lets Walter chew on his tail a bit but when he tries to cuddle Caesar usually moves away. Brat. Haha. They'll get used to each other. I also keep reassuring Caesar that I still love him and he's still my favorite baby.

Coming to work this morning was difficult. I wanted to stay home and snuggle him all day long.

Weekend Things:
Saturday morning Andrew and I were pretty lazy until about 9:30. We went and ran some errands and since I got my 10 pounds lost goal I got to go spend $15 at Ulta! I needed new foundation and got some Nivea Lip Butter in Caramel Kiss. Love that stuff. Then we got home, I did laundry and then had the hardest time figuring out what the heck to have for lunch. I finally decided that I wanted Thai food. This was around 2:00 in the afternoon. Haha. I placed the order and then thought to myself, "You know, if I don't work out now, I'm not going to today." So, I popped in my Shred DVD and did Day 6 of Level 1 and then ate a late lunch with Andrew. We lounged around for awhile before going out with some friends because it is the weekend before they get married! We had dinner at Cheddar's (Andrew and I split an appetizer) and then went for some drinks and played Cards Against Humanity. Fun night!

Sunday was another lazy morning, with the clocks being set back it was weird. I actually ended up taking a nap from like 11:00 - 1:00. Didn't even realize I was tired. Then I somehow convinced Andrew to go with me to see those puppies and that's how we ended up with Walter. We got him, ran to Petsmart to get him a collar, puppy food, rawhides for him and Caesar, a doggie tag, and a new toy. We got home, got to play with him for maybe 15 minutes and then had to meet Andrew's parents for dinner. Luckily the restaurant was right up the street from where we live (not even 5 minutes away). We had a nice dinner, they came over and met the puppy, and then after they left Walter got his first bath (which he hated) and we all snuggled the rest of the night.

I am always worried about noise when it comes to crate training a puppy. Walter didn't make a sound. I was shocked. Caesar used to cry and howl when he was crate trained. Not Walter. He curled right up and went to sleep. Andrew and I were very happy about that!

WeightWatchers & Stuff:
Food choices weren't horrible for me this weekend but I did end up -8 as of yesterday night. If I wouldn't have drank Gin & Tonics on Saturday I might have been a little better off. Oh well. They were delicious! I wish more bars had Diet Tonic Water. Momma loves her some Gin. Hahah. I'm not too upset about anything I ate this weekend. Everything was in moderation, I tracked it and I never felt gross or hungover.

Tonight I am making another recipe from Gina's site. It is Crock Pot 3 Bean Turkey Chili. I am obsessed with Chili right now. We only have 1 serving of the Chicken Taco Chili left. We devoured that. This one probably won't last long either. When I mixed it all together this morning it smelled fantastic.

I do have to make a run to the store to get ingredients for recipes this week. Andrew got to pick out the menu this time around and he picked a lot of different chicken recipes. I will post them and how they turn out as well. I'm excited to try them.

That is all I have for today folks.
